Eucharistic Ministry and Altar Serving
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is the source and summit of the Christian life. Rockhurst students participate in the Sacrifice of the Mass in many ways, but in particular some serve as Altar Servers and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. Altar Servers assist during Mass by reverently processing in with the priests and then assisting in various ways at the altar. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion help distribute Holy Communion to the rest of the faithful during the Mass.
