The Office of Ignatian Identity and Adult Formation serves to minister to the adult community of Rockhurst High School. Our purpose is threefold:
To provide opportunities for adults at Rockhurst High School to engage in Ignatian Formation opportunities that will support them personally and professionally. These opportunities include retreats, presentations, prayer and sacraments, spiritual direction/conversation, and pastoral care and counseling.
To provide opportunities to collaborate with others. Collaboration with others is the only way the Society of Jesus can fulfil the mission entrusted to her. This partnership in mission includes those with whom we share Christian faith, those who belong to different religions, and women and men of good will, who, like us, desire to collaborate with Christ’s reconciling work. In the words of Father General Arturo Sosa, Jesuits are “called to the mission of Jesus Christ, that does not belong to us exclusively, but that we share with so many men and women consecrated to the service of others.” (GC 36 D.1 N.36)
To show the way to God through the Spiritual Exercises and discernment (Universal Apostolic Preferences of the Society of Jesus, 2019-2029)
