Cross Country 2023
The cross country team won the District Championship with an impressive 40 points and had all seven runners individually qualify for State for the first time in program history; the team's 17th consecutive State qualification. At State, Rock placed 2nd at State with a RHS-record four All-State runners: Henry Acorn '25 (4th), Kai Somasegaran '25 (8th), Andrew Davis '25 (11th), and Justin Waldron '25 (21st). -
Football 2023
Football Hawklets went 8-1 in the regular season, and then beat Lee's Summit West and undefeated Lee's Summit North, the #1 team in Missouri, to win Districts. Rock then defeated Nixa to advance to the State Semifinals against Liberty North, but lost a thrilling game in overtime, 28-27 to finish 11-2. Thomas Coppinger '24, Andrew Sprague '24, Jack Bichelmeyer '24, Mitch Forbes '24, and Ethan Hansen '24 were All-State. -
Soccer 2023
The Soccer Hawklets won the State Championship for the third straight season! They did so in historic fashion, completing Rock Soccer's first-ever perfect season at 24-0-0. Rockhurst also ended its season while ranked as the #1 team in the country, and were named the National Champions for the first time in program history! Baka Kante '24 became Rockhurst's first two-time All-American. -
Swim & Dive 2023
The AquaHawks are State Champs for the fourth consecutive year! Rockhurst was tied with SLUH and just 13 points ahead of Park Hill South heading into the final event, the 400 Free. The AquaHawks won by nearly four seconds to capture the relay title, as well as the team title. Andy Baklanov '25 was State Champ in the 100 Back and 2nd in 200 IM, Evan Crim '24 was 2nd in 100 Back and 100 Butterfly, and Blake Francois '24 was 2nd in 200 Free and 3rd in 100 Back. -
Basketball 2023-24
The Basketball Hawklets finished the regular season at 17-7, earning the #2 seed in Districts and then going on to win the program's first District Title since 2018. Rockhurst defeated #1 Lee's Summit West in the District Championship in double overtime before losing in the State Quarterfinals to Central (Springfield), ending the season at 20-8. -
Wrestling 2023-24
The wrestling team showed the results of continued improvement over the last few years, and earned a winning dual record of 5-4. Robert Purcell '24 (31-15) and Anthony Totta '25 (39-13) both placed 3rd at Districts and earned State qualifications, the first Rock wrestlers to do so in since 2020. Both picked up wins at State before being eliminated. -
Baseball 2024
The baseball team's season came to an end in the District Semifinals, a 7-3 loss to Lee's Summit West. Rockhurst went 10-23 on the season, facing a difficult schedule that included top teams from the region. Lucas Redd '24 led Rock in batting average (.309), RBIs (24), and runs (19). Evan Hartner '24 led the pitching staff with 49.1 IP and a 2.98 ERA. Both were All-District selections. -
Golf 2024
Rockhurst's golf team cruised to another District Championship and qualified all five golfers to the State Championship Meet. All-District performers were Nick Hartman '24 (T-2nd), Alex Hogan '24 (4th), Henry Mayor '27 (5th), and Blake Hartner '25 (T-9th). The Hawklets placed 4th at State shooting 600 over the two rounds. Hogan earned individual All-State honors by placing 15th. -
Lacrosse 2024
The Lacrosse Hawklets won a fourth consecutive LAKC Championship, completing the league's first ever four-peat! Rockhurst went 17-2 overall (only losses to Washington, D.C. schools) and 12-0 in the league with a +180 goal differential. Eleven players were All-Metro, and Luke McNamara '24 was named All-American for the second straight year. -
Tennis 2024
The tennis team won the District Championship and then beat Joplin to make the State Final Four. The Hawklets lost in the semifinals to the eventual State Champs, but bounced back to take 3rd Place. On the individual side, Bobby King '25 became the seventh singles State Champ in program history, going 7-0 in the postseason without losing a set and finishing the year 22-3. -
Track 2024
Track & Field had its best State finish since 1976, placing 4th with 49 points. Rockhurst had three individual State Champions, all with new school records: Leo Faulkner '24 in the 400 (47.59), Andrew Davis '25 in the 800 (1:52.38), and Henry Acorn '25 in the 1600 (4:06.31). The 4x800 Relay was also State Champs in 7:42.06, the second fastest time in Missouri history. -
Volleyball 2024
Volleyball became an official MSHSAA sport in 2024. Rockhurst went 20-5 in the regular season, including winning the Rockhurst Invitational. Hawklets were the #2 seed in Districts and fell in five sets in the District Championship, ending the year with a record of 22-6, and 21-2 versus KC teams. Six players were named to the All-District Team, and all will return for the 2025 season.
